Criccieth

To Criccieth on Saturday to see Starlight Players pantomime, postponed from last year. We stayed for a second time at Cadwallader apartment which has a tremendous waterfront view.

And  this decorated pillar box was outside.

Sunday afternoon we saw the last performance of the pantomime, and enjoyed a home cooked roast lamb dinner with Dan & Krisie in the evening.

Monday we drove to Pwllheli to load up with wine from Llyn Wines, and in the evening dinner at Dylan's with Dan and Krisie.

Tuesday

We went to Carnarvon but it was too cold with a piercing wind off the sea, so we took shelter in The Crown pub with a real fire.

There I had a surreal wine moment. Joan fancied a small glass of dry white, so I asked what dry whites they had. Just Pinot Grigio was the answer. “OK,” said I. “A small glass of that, and I’ll have a medium glass.”

“We only have Grigio.”

“Yes, a medium glass of the Grigio for me”, I replied.

So the bartender placed two glasses on the bar, one small and one big. Then he went off to the back and came back with two 187ml bottles of South African

so Joan had a small glass and I had a big glass, but we each got exactly the same amount of wine.
In the evening our Dan and Krisie brought a takeaway from Sima Tandoori.

And on Wednesday we returned home.
