Delheim Lunch with Dan and Krisie
We took Dan and Krisie to Delheim winery Garden Restaurant for lunch. Krisie tried Springbok Loin with fresh garden vegetables, wild mash & lamb jus. She loved springbok.
I had Ostrich Bobotie served with yellow rice, salsa, crispy poppadum, pumpkin fritter,
and we all had their famous Pinotage Ice Cream. The wine was their 2017 Pinotage.
There was time to visit the facilities before Dan and Krisie then went on the cellar tour.
They were processing Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot. This was the first time Krisie had been in a winery.
Then they went for a tasting. They loved the rose Pinotage, which Delheim pioneered, and took away a magnum of it.
